The Word of God

Just a short post today, but I wanted to share this scripture with you.

I Thessalonians 2:13 says "You accepted what we said as the word of God, and it changed your lives when you believed it."

The word of God always changes us. We may not always like what it says, and it may not always be what we want to hear, but it always brings us to a point of decision. Will we obey it? Will we apply it?

I guess the questions is today, what areas of your life do you need to greater apply the word of God?

What areas of your life has the word been dealing with that you have been putting off?

Are there areas that you have been disobedient to the word?

God wants to use His word to change you, to shape you to lead and guide you, but the only way His word can work is when we apply it to our lives.

James tells us to be doers of the word, not just hearers only. Let's strive today to listen and to apply the word to our lives. As we apply the word, it will change us from the inside out.
