It's not always easy

Psalm 34:19 (LB) "The good man does not escape all troubles, he has them too, but the Lord helps him in each and every one. Not one of his bones are broken." The fact is, even when we are trying to serve God with all of our hearts, we will still face hard times. I don't always understand it. It seems to me that if we served God faithfully, then everything should always be sunny, but the Bible teaches us that "it rains on the just and on the unjust". Everyone experiences ups and downs in life. The good news is that God has not forgotten us, He helps us and strengthens us in those down times. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 "We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed." Even when we seem knocked down, we are not knocked out. Even when the pressures of life are pressing down all around us, God has still not abandoned us. He is with us through it all. Maybe you are stuggling today, don't give up, it will get better.
